Mr. Priors love for the railroad and forrailroad men continues to this day. In 1875 Le became bookkeeper and paymaster for the AshlandCotton Company, a large and prosperous manufacturing 1883 he was elected secretary and treasurer of the Jewett CitySavings Bank. Two years later he became a member of its corpora-tion, and four years later one of its trustees. A fine new bank build-ing was erected during his term of service. In January, 1895, he resigned his official connection with theJewett City Bank and came to Hartford to accept the position of 60.
