Eugenol. Molecular model of the phenylpropene chemical eugenol (). This is a pale yellow oily liquid extracted from certain essential oils, especially from clove oil, nutmeg, cinnamon, basil and bay leaves. It is used in perfumes and as a flavouring. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white) and oxygen (red).
