The new Danish National Gallery building in Copenhagen


Editorial use only. The original Danish National Gallery was built during the years 1889 to 96 by architect Vilhelm Dahlerup. A modern extension was added in 1998 as can be seen in this image. The art collection housed is extensive with a extensive representation of the period from early renaissance to the present day. The Gallery is located in the Norrebro area of Copenhagen.
