On January 18, 1915, Japan took advantage of the time when European and American imperialists had no time to look east in the First World War, and presented to Yuan Shikai's government a secret document aimed at destroying China -- the "Japan-China Treaty". The full text consists of twenty-one demands, so this treaty is usually called "Twenty-One". Pictured is the scene when the treaty is signed.
