The floors are highly waxed—becareful not to slip. Nobody ever does, however, except the girls, and they only when amanly arm is near. Now, to see a room-full of wonders. Yes, they call it shining thedolls here at the Uni. Buck Appleby, Long, Hoiland, and numerous others alwaysfind a place in that room. Give em tim°; theyll improve if they stay fouryears. Before you go I may as well explain the use of those staircases on the exterior ofthe dorms. Dont confuse them with fire escapes. Those iron things are movie lad-ders, especially adapted for all first-class schools and colleges. The State Legislature hasordered these as a particularly convenient place where the young ladies can sit and dryand sun their hair. There may be other uses for these structures, but so far as knowledgegoes they havent been discovered yet.
