The grass is green and nutritious, and the japonica blooms throughout the winter; so that the winters and summers of Jersey are not in violent contrast, and all its seasons are mild and uniform. So far the influence of climate on the type of cattle. The agriculture of Jersey is gardening rather than farming, so thrifty and industrious are the people.
