Close to Ahenny village in County Tipperary are two 8th Century, Celtic High Crosses, two of the earliest examples to be found in Ireland.


Close to Ahenny village is the early Christian foundation of Kilclispeen monastery and in the adjoining graveyard are two 8th Century, High Crosses. The Ahenny High Crosses are amongst the earliest examples of Celtic high crosses to be found in Ireland bearing a resemblance to their wooden predecessors, County Tipperary, Ireland.
