In the fall of 1881, Elder Ellis was engaged as their Pastor,who has a fine reputation as an active and reliable worker, andwho appears to give good satisfaction. A series of meetings has been in progress during the winterofil88]-82, -with considerable effect and several accessions. The first settlement of Friends known in Indiana was in1800.
