UNITED STATES: April 1, 2019: Alfred RonaldsÕs fly wallet. Wrote the Fly FisherÕs EntymologyÑdepicting how to make to make the best flies with which to catch fish. The circa 1845 book is perhaps the first literature on the sport of fly fishing and the first time entomology was introduced as part of the sport. The National Sporting Library and Museum are located in the beautiful historic village of Middleburg, Virginia. Founded as the National Sporting Library in 1954, by George L. Ohrstrom, Sr. and Alexander Mackay-Smith, the institution has expanded to become a library, research facility and art museum with over 26,000 books and works of art in the collections.
