View of paisley in Renfrewshire Scotland with the Anchor Mills Morrisons on the left with the rainbow over it. This whole area was formerly the J & J Clark Anchor Mills where they produce cotton thread from 1812. By the mid 1850's it was expanding fast and now called Clark & Co had amalgamated with several other local companies. By 1880's Anchor Mills was running over 230,000 spindles and employing over 3,500 workers, who were producing about 15 tons of finished goods each day. The whole area was renovated during the early 2000's
