The foremans office, which is placedwith its center line a continuation of the partition be-tween machine and wood shops, is elevated and inclosedwith glass, giving a direct outlook into both shops. Thearmature room is partitioned off from the rear of themachine shop, and over it is the drafting office. All of the shop bays are brilliantly lighted throughsteel-framed windows, filling all of the span betweencolumns. They are steam heated from the boiler plantdescribed below.
