All the religious papers, or nearly all, have suffered from a di-minished circulation within two or three years (it is now Febru-ary, 1875) some of them very largely. The Congregationalist isan exception. This may safely be attributed, in great part, tothe discretion, sound judgment, and untiring energy of the man-aging editor. He resides in Chelsea, near Boston. He made a trip to Euroj^e,lasting four or five months, in 1869, with his wife, who again vis-ited Europe, with her eldest daughter, in 1873. In 1874, visited California, crossing the continent. * The Boston Eecorder was commenced on the personal responsibility ofEev. Jedediah Morse, of Charlestown.
