A double-barrelled flintlock shotgun, Dubois et Fils, St. Etienne, circa 1820. Browned, smooth bore barrels in 14 mm calibre with a patent breechblock. Rich gold inlay in the form of flowery vines and martial trophies on the muzzles and the halves of the barrels toward the breech. Lightly cut iron flintlocks, with the signature, "Veuve Peyret Dubois et Fils St. Etienne" engraved on the lock plates. Carved walnut half stock with chequered small of the stock.
