CHINHAE, Republic of Korea (April 7, 2017) Sailors from Commander, Fleet Activities Chinhae (CFAC) join the local Chinhae community in a parade in honor of the 472nd birthday of ROK Navy Adm. Yi, Sun-sin. Jinhae Gunhangie Cherry Blossom Festival was first held in 1952 to commemorate Yi and has grown into one of the largest festivals in the Republic of Korea bringing an estimated 3 million visitors to the area.
