This beautiful rose-breasted Gull was discovered on June 23rd1823 on Melville Peninsula, during Parrys second expedition, andwas subsequently observed at Felix Harbour, Boothia ; while severalexamples were seen to the north of Spitsbergen on Parrys boat-voyage, as well as in Hinlo
