The Mine of Ridnaun used to be one oft he highest ones in Europe. In a thousand years of history lots of miners brought to light silver, lead and zinc. The mine has been permanently closed in 1985 and nowadays, as a museum, offers interesting notes and information about minerals from the past to present days. The mining zone is located at the end of the Ridnaun Valley and it is still possible to see some intact buildings. There is also an interesting route that goes through the miners’ houses.
