King Louis XIV on horseback enters on far L accompanied by Marechal de Turenne & his generals, queen Marie Therese with her ladies in coach, to L of coach, 3 figures bow to king, behind them are 3 figures holding spears, multitude of soldiers in middle ground, Dole in distance (BRD) grotesque ornament including masks, animal hooves, cartouches & rinceau; (UPR BRD) centered by coat of arms; (LWR BRD) centered by inscription in cartouche The Tournai mark on 3 of the panels in this set indicate that Béhagle produced this set in Tournai, presumably before he left that city to assume directorship of the Beauvais manufactory in 1684. However, he also wove this series in Beauvais after that. This series is usually listed as French, Beauvais (Cavallo). The Speed Art Museum catalog gives the date as 1685-1711 & the weaving manufactory as Beauvais. French & Co. stock sheet i
