A Wakizashi, Japan, probably mid-Momoyama period. Hamon and blade shape suggest a blade of the Yamato School. Blade shinogizukuri, o-kissaki, deep torii-zori. Chu-itame hada turning towards o-itame hada. Hamon based on suguha with ko-midare, small uchinoke and hakikake in nie-deki. Komaru boshi with short kaeri. Blade shows minor signs of wear, but is in good kesho polish. Nakago with two mekugi-ana, kiri yasurime, mumei. Silver foil covered niju copper habaki with nekkogaki. Cast iron tsuba, showing Kanzan and Jittoku, with an irregular edge. Fuchi-kashira not,
