Christopher Pherson, a special missions aviator with the 8th Special Operations Squadron, performs preflight checks on a CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, Aug. 24, 2018, at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Multiple aircraft assigned to the 1st Special Operations Wing took off from Hurlburt Field to perform a flyover at the Air Force Memorial in honor of Air Force Tech. Sgt. John A. Chapman, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for extraordinary heroism.
