Ivory jar, approx. cm tall and 6 cm wide, exquisitely engraved by a highly skilled craftsman in Hong Kong around 1985. The jar is engraved on all sides in the manner of scrimshaw, with mountain scenes and figures, as well as Chinese calligraphy. It is a superb example of lapidary art and time-honored craftsmanship.
