COLUMBUS, Ohio - A view of the Ohio Statehouse (Ohio State Capitol Building) in Columbus, Ohio, at dusk. This is the west facade, as seen from Capitol Square. The Ohio Statehouse is the seat of government of the Ohio state legislature. With Greek revival architecture, the building was construced from 1839 to 1861 and remains one of the oldest working statehouses. It features an unusual conical turret rather than a dome as many other statehouses have.
