Although the fanaticism of the Moslems is a barto thorough explorations, yet suiBcient antiquities havebeen discovered to confirm the opinion that the moundis the site of more than one Assyrian palace yet to beexhumed when the power of the Turk is broken, andthe people are ruled by an intelligent and liberal gov-ernment.
