About 1808 they removed to Windsor, Vt.,where, in 1809, with General Sylvester Churchill, heestablished the Vermont Republican. In 1818, Oliver, with his family, emigrated to whatwas then the far west. On his way down the OhioRiver their house-boat halted at Cincinnati, where theywere greeted by Nathan Guilford, a young lawyer,recently become a resident of that place.
