Prince William Augustus 1721-1765), third and youngest son of George II (1683-1760) of Great Britain, 1758. He is generally best remembered for his role in putting down the Jacobite Rising at the Battle of Culloden in 1746. After a painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792), 1758.
