A new bed. Masai Mara, Kenya: A YOUNG lion cub was caught on camera using a buffalo carcass as an ingenious hiding place while playing with its siblings. The lion cub was part of the Topi Plains pride, said to be the most powerful pride in the Masai Mara, made up of three males, three females and 18 cubs. These images were captured by wildlife photographer Antonio S. Chamorro (50) on the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya, using a Nikon Z9 camera. ?We arrived at this incredible scene not long after the Topi Plains pride hunted a big buffalo,? said Antonio. ?The scene was incredible. Suddenly, we see this lion cub emerging from the body of a large buffalo, which the pride is feeding on. ?He will soon grow up and will have to face a tough future. ? In addition to all the challenges and dangers that the kings of the savannah face throughout their lives, they will face an increasingly uncertain future for their species. ?I feel privileged when I can see our raw wildlife.
