Canon AE-1 Program 35mm film single lens reflex (SLR) camera circa 1981 with a Canon 135mm NFD mount lens.


A Canon AE-1 Program 35mm film camera manufactured approximately 1981. This one fitted with a Canon 135mm lens. The AE-1 Program was intended to be an entry level version of the Canon A-1 but was extremely popular with photography enthusiasts. It has TTL light metering and can shoot in manual, shutter priority and a full programme exposure mode. The camera has tthe Canon FD mount and can accept FD and New FD lenses, the difference being that New FD lenses have a modern bayonet mechanism rather than a breach lock ring.
