ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 15, 2018) Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Kevin Lunar, left, and Aviation Electrician's Mate Airman Lukas Goetsch secure the rotor blade of a MH-60S Sea Hawk on the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Naval Forces Northern Command deployed Kearsarge, along with embarked elements of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and the Expeditionary Strike Group 2 command element, to be positioned to provide Defense Support to Civil Authorities from the sea in response to Hurricane Florence, should support be requested.
