HELMAND PROVINCE, AFGHANISTAN - 27 July 2009 - US Marine Lance Cpl. Brad Stys with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment in a field during a security patrol in Helmand province, Afghanistan, July 27, 2009. Fox Company Marines are conducting patrols outside Patrol Base Hasan Abad to restrict insurgents' freedom of movement. The Marines are deployed here to support NATO's International Security Assistance Force and will participate in counterinsurgency operations.
