The present population is about 125, of whomfortj-tliree are voters. In the spring of 1872 apublic school was started, and is kept about eightmonths in the year. The Indians have a ranch and cultivate aboutfifty acres, princi])allj in roots, there being abouthalf a hundred of them in all, including squaws andpapooses.
