Classical Khmer dance was decimated during the time of the brutal Khmer Rouge regimine but in recent years it has experience a revival. These two dancer in a doorway at the Terrace of the Elephants in Angkor Thom are in the classic costumes of an aspara (dancer) and ogre (demon) characters.
