Titan occulting Tethys, Cassini images. At left, Tethys (upper left, a moon of Saturn) is about to pass behind Titan (another moon of Saturn). At right, Tethys (upper right) is emerging from behind Titan 18 minutes later. Tethys' Odysseus Crater is visible in both images. Titan (5150 kilometres across) is Saturn's largest moon, with a thick nitrogen atmosphere and orange haze. Tethys (1062 kilometres across) orbits much closer to Saturn and in this sequence is around kilometres from Titan. These images were obtained on 26 November 2009, by the narrow-angle camera on the Cassini spacecraft that is in orbit around Saturn.
