Scrotal oedema. 69 year old man with a swollen scrotum. An oedema is an accumulation of fluid. This oedema is secondary to a lymphoma, a cancer of white blood cells (lymphocytes), which is blocking the para-aortic lymph node in the groin. The oedema may be surgically drained, but to prevent reoccurrence the cancerous cells need to be removed from the lymph node.
