Whether boxwood, laurel or holly will be in in- creased demand as substitutes can not be told, but the lack of the ground pine must have a bad influence on next sea- son's trade. Chicago holly is coming in slowly and eastern stock is very scarce. East- ern packers say there is none com- pared with former years, and the car- loads which have reached the seeds- men at Chicago are all needed for ad- vance orders. Southern
