He was theson of Jeremiah andLucinda (Libby) Hill, agrandson of Joshua andMary (Kilpatrick) Hill,and a direct descendantof Pet^r Hill, the orig-inal ancestor of thefamily in thS ountry,who settled at Scarboro,Me., about 1635.
