The main new building is threestories in height and contains six large and commodious room**. Thebuilding now is just what was needed for the extension of the work in theuiechanical Mechanical Building. The station Chemical laboratory is a building 50x30 ft., the up])er roomof which is used for the station laboratory and the lower room for thechemical laboratory of the college department. This room is properl\-fitted for the individual work of the student. The work and ai)])liances in the Chemical department is not inferior STATE COLLEGK. to that of any on this coast, and ranks well with those of eastern schools-. Tl:e s{yninasium has been fitted up in the wing of this building in aroom 6 ) by 32 ft. Th^.is, while the mental and insoral training has been well cared for, phy--^ical tiaining ha not been neglected. The Horticultural buildiiigs have been greatly changed since last new building 40x50 ft., two stories in height,, has been erected in theplace of the small room which formerly occupied the place.
