Peregrine Bertie, 13th Baron Willoughby de Eresby (1555-1601) was made a general in 1586, but suffered a major defeat at the Battle of Zutphen. He later redeemed himself during the Eighty Years' War and the Anglo–Spanish War (September 23 - November 13, 1588) with a victory at the Siege of Bergen. He can be seen in Cap-a-pie armour fighting along side an archer, pikeman and Musketeerand subsequently, he fought for the Huguenots under Henry of Navarre. He commanded the English contingent at Henry's Siege of Paris in 1590.
