Order of St. Catherine, First class breast star, ca. 1860/70. Silver, the reverse center gold-plated, set with rock crystals, the crown and motto in the center with diamond roses. Hinged rays. No hallmarks. 94 mm, 88 g. Very fine jewellers' quality. Together with the flamingo-coloured sash for the badge (missing), the edges with interwoven silver threads, the bow with motto of the order. The original diamonds have been changed for rock crystals, very probably by the recipient. Decorations with diamonds were manufactured by the most prominent jewellers of St. Pe,
