K2-33b exoplanet and parent star, illustration. This exoplanet (upper right) is one of the youngest detected to date. It makes a complete orbit around its star in about five days. It is classed as a super-Neptune planet. It is around 456 light years from Earth, in the constellation of Scorpius. This planet is one of many discovered by NASA's Kepler space observatory, which was launched in 2009. This image was published in 2016.
