The fruits are very uniform in size, weighing from 6 to 8 pounds, and'in shape are like the green Hubhard. The flesh is deep orange, very dry, fine grained and of excellent flavor. Fruit matures very earl}-. Their keeping qualities are fully equal to the green variety, and they can be held over in good condition for spring use. It is* a vigorous grower, and in productiveness far excels the old variety.
