1st Squadron, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment Troopers are formed as teams in preparation for the Spur Ceremony at National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif. on May 21, 2018. In order to gain their spurs, candidates, also known as “Shave Tails”, have to tackle challenging events such as a ruck march and land navigation through the desert. More than 40 Troopers were awarded their Silver Spurs during a ceremony that was held in the National Training Center.
