Gastric tooth dentiform, continued back in a very bluntcarina; tip acute, upper margin nearly horizontal, anterior margin in-clined slightly forward and upward, not as produced as the anterior margin of the carapace. Medianlobe of front triangular, spine small, insertednear the antero-lateral angle just be-hind the anterior margin. Antero-lateral sinus with sides forming anobtuse angle. The merus of the first pair of legs is armed with 3 or 4spines; of the second pair, with many spines. Distal end of secondsegment of second pair ending in a small spine; fingers longer than palm. Abdomen without median carina. Telson very nearly as long as thesixth segment, and forked with a deep sinus. For the rest, almost as in P. pacifica. Dimensions.—Length of male 64 mm., of carapace mm.
