Common blue (Polyommatus icarus) butterfly covered in dew on European michaelmas daisy (Aster amellus). Male uppersides are an iridescent lilac blue with a thin black border. Females are usually brown with a row of red spots along the edges and some blue at the base of the wings. Photographed in France, in Autumn.
