The increased cost ofpractically everything entering into themanufacture of paint has made thisnecessary in order to maintain a highstandard of quality. Considering theheavy advances in the white lead andlinseed oil markets, as well as all color-ing materials, the advance announced ofa little over 5 per cent, seems modest, and we are sure will not interfere withany painting which our citizens have inview. We hope the Paint-up and Clean-up campaign will be carried on vigor-ously this spring, and keep our town inthe enviable position she has so longheld, as one of the finest residentialtowns in Ontario. The example set by this merchantcould be followed by many others. Theadvance in price is only a slight one,and should not cause anyone to post-pone any painting jobs they may havehad in An exceptionally well-arranged window display of paints and varnishes.
