D. Kyle Sampson former chief of staff to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee in the Senate Hart office building on Capitol Hill in Washington March 29 2007. The hearing is being held to investigate whether politics motivated the firing of attorneys. The former aide who resigned two weeks ago told the Committee that Mr. GonzalesÕs statements about the prosecutorsÕ dismissals were inaccurate and that the attorney general had been repeatedly advised of the planning for them.
