It will be seen that thetwo curves are similar, indicatingthat it is possible to work this soilinto the loosest condition at 120per cent of moisture, at whichpoint the soil is in the best pos-sible agricultural condition. Onthe addition of water beyond thispoint the soil soon becomes toowet to be easily worked, as might be predicted from the rapid riseof the penetration curve. SUCCESSIVE WETTING AND of experiments.
