In 1857 the country became involved ina financial panic and Mr. Sellers lost then began anew and taught school forseveral years, after which he once more turnedhis attention to farming and in 1866 engagedin the insurance business in which he has con-tinued to the present time. He has continu-ouslv represented the Iowa State InsuranceCompanv. of Keokuk, since 1867. writing hisFirst policy for that company on the 8th ofApril of that year.
