Phra Mongkol Bopit, Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, Ayutthaya, Thailand, Asia. Assembly Hall building rebuilt in 1956, with help of the Burmese to atone for their sacking of the city in 1767. This bronze statue of Buddha, with mother-of-pearl eyes, was cast in 15th century and had stood uncovered for nearly 200 years. Ayutthaya is now a World Heritage Site.
