ISS repair spacewalk. Extravehicular activity (EVA, or spacewalk) being carried out by American astronaut Peggy Whitson (born 1960). Whitson was the first female mission commander at the ISS (International Space Station). This spacewalk was undertaken in order to repair the Bearing Motor Roll Ring Module (BMRRM), which is part of the ISS's Beta Gimbal Assemblies (BGAs). The BGAs orientate the ISS's solar panels towards the Sun when the ISS changes direction. Photographed on 30th January 2008.
