Meeru Island is an Island holiday resort on the easternmost tip of North Malé Atoll in the Maldives. Meeru Resort is some 50 kilometres from the capital Male. The 70-acre (280,000 m2) island is made up of soft white sand and is one of the largest islands in the Maldives. The resort is made up of different types of rooms that range from a standard room to a Jacuzzi Water Villa situated over the ocean. There is a choice of restaurants and bars on the island as well as a coffee shop. It is located South West of Sri Lanka, on the equator.
