The line of demarcation can be seenfairly well in the plate before me. I regret that I was unable to obtain agood print of this case. The negative was an excellent one, but thephotographer who made the print from it did poor work. The operation, done by Dr. Gilmer, of Chicago, was as follows: Anexternal incision was made along the lower border of the mandible in theregion of the sequestrum, and the sequestrum removed through it. Thebone was curetted, a drainage tube inserted, and the incision sewed first bicuspid and cuspid were extracted. 232 DENTAL RADIOGRAPHY. Fig. 367. The arrow points to a sequestrum about the size of the first joint of the thumb.(Radiograph by Porter, of Chicago.)
